Photo Thursday: Paris Metro View

This station, near the Eifel Tower, frames a classic Paris streetscape with brilliant glass and guarantees a bit of blue sky every day!

  1. I think if I was to return to Paris I would pick up on details like you've shown that I've missed in the past. You look at everything a little differently once you're into photography.

    1. Yes, when you start looking at the world through a lens, you start noticing more details. . . or at least I did.

  2. Had never thought of the Metro in that way before - nice photo.

  3. Wow, what a great shot! What line was this on?
You make me want to go back to look for some of these details.

  4. This was taken at the Bir Hakeim stop on the green line in the 15th arrondissement. We spent more time on above-ground lines this time, many of which looked very old (the Bir Hakeim station dates back to 1906), but were also rather elegant in an old-fashioned, neglected way.

  5. Like you, I love the artistry in Paris metros! And I love your shot. Great composition and point of view.
