Blog Transitions: View Formats

For regular visitors here, it's obvious that there has been a big change in the way this blog looks.

I'm now using Blogger's Dynamic View templates which allow the user to choose between a variety of view formats.

The current default view is Magazine. Note that in this view, the posts you see on the home page are just links - they do not include the entire post. To see the full text and all pictures -- even for the featured post -- you need to click on the post title to see the full entry. Comments can be made on all posts, but again, only from the full post, not from the home page.

My preferred format for viewing the blog is actually the Mosaic view. Unfortunately, new posts weren't coming up correctly when you went in to read the full post. To alleviate that problem, I changed the default to Magazine. However, you can still view the blog in any of the other viewing formats simply by going to the menu at the upper left-hand side of the page and choosing another format. Every post to the blog is visible in every format if you continue scrolling down until you get to the end - but that can be a little slow in some formats. As with the Magazine view, to view a particular post, click on its title and you will be taken to the full post and all pictures. (The full post format isn't very lovely, but I'm working to customize it.)

As always, I'd love to hear your feedback.
