Architectural Contrast

Whenever I’m in DC I’m struck by the weird architectural contrasts. Once you get off the Mall, there are still a few historic structures, some with intricate detail. In general though, it appears that as long as a developer is willing to preserve the historic façade, they’re good to go. It makes for a weird urban texture.
