Martinis for Dinner, Anyone?

We are meeting a friend for dinner in Duluth and don’t want to go to any of the usual places. She makes a couple recommendations and, even though they really don’t serve dinner (just appetizers), we choose the Black Water martini lounge and nightclub.

I don’t usually drink martinis, but it seemed like the thing to do, given the surroundings. And the food was good too: The pear and cheese flatbread was amazing and, while the sushi wasn’t sushi if you expect things like raw fish, the rice with steak and caramelized onion nigiri was delicious. (The smoked salmon maki - rolls - were fine, but boring. . . I'm not big on rolls with cream cheese anyway.) Lovely overall.

Thanks, Karen, for steering us there. And thanks for taking time to catch up with us!
