Saints Baseball in Saint Paul

Most of the baseball interest in Minnesota focuses around the Minnesota Twins and their first-rate new stadium in Minneapolis. But the Twins aren't the only baseball game in town, the state is also home to a number of teams in the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, including the Saint Paul Saints.

Saints games are mostly known for the between inning competitions, the hot tub suite, freight trains, and the pig mascot. In the midst of all the chaos, they hold a baseball game too. Even on a miserably hot night, it's a good place to be.

Thursday Photo - Dinner Reflections (Boston)

I thought I was done with the "reflections" theme, but when I started sorting my (very limited) pictures from Boston last weekend it was pretty clear that this should be the Thursday Photo:

Temazcal Tequila Cantina at Liberty Wharf in Boston is a too popular (really loud and crowded) new restaurant with really interesting and delicious food, a view of the water, and a mirrored ceiling. What could one ask for when out on the town for dinner?

Seafood with a View in Boston

Boston has really revived its waterfront, increasingly turning it into a lively, vibrant place. One example of that is the new Legal Seafood Harborside where one can sit at the seafood bar and watch the water on one side and the kitchen on the other.

Thursday Photo - Window Shopping in Copenhagen

I'm still editing my Copenhagen photos, so am sticking with the Danish theme for at least another week. . .

For whatever reason, I found the window reflections in Denmark really interesting and spent a lot of time trying to capture the complexity of the image without it being incomprehensible.

I'm sure my husband got tired of waiting for me to finish shooting, but at least it kept me from going into the stores and spending money! (A very good thing in an expensive country like Denmark.)

Northern Spark in the City

Last night/this morning was the Northern Spark festival - a dusk to dawn art festival in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

It's a cool concept for an absolutely gorgeous summer evening and the sidewalks were packed.

I saw a few things I really liked, including this video installation Murmur by Debora Miller, but a lot of the art didn't really speak to me and we didn't go to many of the sites.

What did speak to me was the infrastructure of the city itself.

I appreciate these artists making the effort to get me out for a night of exploring!
