Neighborhood Chalk Art

Saint Paul has a sidewalk poetry program, where the city embeds short poems in sections of sidewalks when they are being repaired or replaced.

An example:

Origami bird
You have great long wings to fly
Why do you sit still?

Just simple words etched into the concrete, but a neat little snippet of life is captured there.

Of course, we have always had sidewalk art and sidewalk artists. One of whom has been at work recently:
