Alaska Critter Log

I’ll try to update this throughout the trip, but here are some of the critters we’ve seen thus far:

Dall sheep as you normally see them (note white spots on mountain) . . .

. . . and as we saw them along the road during our drive down Turnagain Arm.

Grizzlies seem to be everywhere in Denali and we saw several at close-range on both of our days in the park.

Caribou have been less cooperative, staying far from the road.

Moose are another type of critter we expect to see everywhere, but which end up being rather elusive.


While we've been able to keep our distance from the ever-present grizzlies, we were nearly attacked by snow shoe hares while hiking along the road in Denali.
